I love a good referral, and none sweeter than this situation to how it has become available. A gentlemen neighbour of the new residence we have recently moved into was told to make contact with me to offload his car being surplus to needs.
Downsizing, the couple needed to move on one of their two Mazda's sitting in the stable. This 2014 Touring was the one they decided to let go. Bought from a large franchise with 70,000 kilometres it has maintained the FULL service history with that company until it's last venture with a neighbourhood mechanic, and then on to my Complimentary Service, Safety Check and Vehicle Report Card.
TWO Keys still accompany the full set of manuals in the service wallet, and the add on of a set of Forge Auto Black alloys set a nice tone against a Soul Red Duco. Something I am a little surprised that the elderly gentleman looked to do.

I have a soft spot for Subaru as it was my first Dealership buying role, and back then it was a case of sink or swim getting to know the product. Around when this vehicle was new was when I was there and I remeber having this exact model as a Demonstrator drive car. So maybe a bit of nostalgia with this offering.
This 2011 MY12 Subaru Liberty Wagon - with Sat Nav option taken was personally my favourite, the only thing better at the time with Subaru was a GT in the same configuration.
A TWO key, FULL and well documented Service History and as per recommendation, timing belt and water pump being changed in 2021 at the kilometres suggested by Subaru. All functions working as they should expect to be, aside from the standard service requirement it only needed 4 new tyres.
Going slightly against my 150 kilometre (or there about) rule with this one due to the nostalgia, it does present well for the 168 kilometre odometer it is showing. Popular amongst youth or 'second - upgrade' cars due to the space it offers in the back, especially when the seats are laid down. Symettrical AWD offer a safety component to please mum and dad for when travelling some dirt or rainy roads and the as always with Subaru a high ANCAP rating.
The Liberty still has the cool, over say the outback which has a different marketing campaign, and still drives more like a small passenger vehicle than a family wagon due to the Subaru sport tuned suspension. The Dark Grey was always more popular than the SIlvers or Whites.
Good value at it's price point as the new first car is 10,000 in todays day of age, so for a couple more you will find yourself in that next realm.

Another pick of the bunch sourced from a referral. Genuine 116 kilometres on the odometer and a FULL CMI Service history to match! Doesn't get much sweeter than this for a first car with the utmost reliability proof.
A key to success is the repeat and referral to your business based on your the guy to talk to about the sector, and the advice you can offer is valuable. Then the byproduct of that is opportunity. The opportunity finds it self in the 2010 Toyota Yaris YR with a super low 116 km.
Bought from CMI with only 40,000 kilometres the last owner being an in law that lived local to me and was looking to offload in way for her upgrade. Upon inspection the pleasure of finding that FULL CMI service history and TWO Factory keys proved that it was the right example, but I knew that from the person I was purchasing from anyway.
A simple reconditioning required four NEW tyres (even though they were still legal but just out of date), a good detail and a basic Service and Safety check as standard procedure anyway.
As we know and love to believe in the reliability of Toyota branding, the Yaris of this era is very basic but will perform all the tasks you require it to and what it's purpose being is. No fancy tech, but cheap on fuel in this current climate crisis. Easy to manoeuvre and learn to drive in or navigate the ever shrinking streets of our Adelaide inner suburbs.
Price point conscious buyers will relish in the life ahead for this little hatchback. I've seen these with triple the amount of kilometres and have all faith in this one reaching that conditions permitting.

The always popular FD i30 never seems to last long on the yard, perhaps it is the value it presents? Maybe a stronger following over the update model? Or could be the size and reliability? All facts for consideration, but this Trophy is half a prize for this price.
A good honest i30, a low 118 kilometres, TWO key remotes, a FULL service book and a simple reconditioning process gives me good faith in seeing it out the door to the next purchaser.
For those not afraid to buy or drive manual, the savings are strong. The last three of these I've had, have been exactly this, Trophy, Manual, and of course around or under 150 kilometres. None had any come backs and it's why I continue to purchase them when I see them come up for sale.
More than ever, right now the value add is the motivator, necessity purchases not wants are dominating and I feel this fits exactly into this category. A perfect addition to the household as a second car, a share with the kids, or to cut back on some fuel costs.
Not much detail needed about its features, quite frankly it's not setting any records for that department, but it does offer some slick styling with the Shadow chrome Alloys, Hatch Spoiler and Leather Accented Steering wheel.

A prime example of what I often talk about being the fact that people bag Holden Cruzes and Captivas, but just like my 70km Captiva I listed this week this here again has come from what would seem a similar type of ownership.
A mere 70 Kilometres and the condition is just that! A fantastically healthy and well kept 2014 Cruze Equipe with a tasteful Infotainment screen update with Reverse Camera and bluetooth capabilities. TWO Factory Keys sit alongside then FULL service book and owners manual with the Vehicle Report card to sit inside the wallet.
If you look at the photo of the steering wheel you'll see the picture of low odometer and the interior is up to that standard too. Everything is tight and it performs as you expect from a low kilometre example and what I state with this brand and badge, the fact that if they are looked after and maintained he continue to deliver.
The Aerpro screen has a wide full size Reverse camera which is a nice addition as these Equipes only came with sensors, and we all like to rely on the technology availble these days as habitual cretaures. Front sensors sit up the front which I assume have been added as I don't ever remember seeing them on the Equipe as standard.
Some minor scuffing on wheels as you can probably expect judging by the age of the previous owner, but apart from that a good stand up exmaple that presents neatly on the yard. All the chrome badging and grille highlights still stand proud and even the Headlights are crystal clear.
The Australian-tuned suspension is a strong point, offering a secure, comfortable ride that handles bumps well, often feeling like a larger car. The 1.8 Ltr delivers like most little four cylinders, no powerhouse but economical enough to get you around on the cheap.
In summary - it's no Flash Harry, But Honest Value.

I find it slightly offensive when people that do not work in this industry pay out the likes of Holdens. Yes there has been examples of poorly maintained Cruze, Captiva and even Commodores providing nightmare stories to accompany. But fact of the matter is these stories usually coincide with poor ownership with terrible maintenance schedules, and to add both my last two loan cars have been Cruzes that have not given anyone any troubles.
Without jinxing myself, I haven't had a said Holden badge give me any catastrophic failure unlike other brands I have seen around the traps over my years. Whether that's me selecting them right in the first place or whether I might have some luck, but I would put it to the latter, especially when it comes to any later model Holdens particularly anything series 2 onwards.
Now to this good looking unit, the TWO Factory Keyless entry Fobs sit alongside a FULL service book, albeit with no loyalty to any mechanical shop, but nevertheless still a FULL and super low odometer is providing fantastic value in a Seven Seater Turbo Diesel.
Being a 2016 last series, personally I loved the launch of these when I was buying for a franchise. The aesthetics are great with the LED taillights and LED running lights upfront. Some good features are available in the forms of FOUR door keyless entry buttons, a faux turn key so you can leave the fob in your pocket, Factory Sunroof and Heated leather accented front seats.
A nice Genuine Towbar on the rear gives you some flexibility to putting a bike rack on the back for the kiddies, or yourself. Or being a Turbo Diesel, would provide enough torque to tow a trailer for dump runs or odd jobs required around the family household.
The 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel Captiva LTZ gets 135kW of power at 3800rpm and 400Nm of torque at 2000rpm. It also claims 8.5 litres per 100km compared with the petrol’s 10.7L/100km. The four-pot diesel is torquey enough around town, though, getting most tasks asked of it done below 3000rpm. It’ll also happily tick away at 1800rpm at 100km/h on highway runs.
Headlining the refreshed Captiva LTZ is a new front end, featuring a new twin-grille, front fascia and LED daytime running lights, new body-coloured cladding, and new-look 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, upgrades for the 2016 onwards include minor cabin tweaks, a restyled multi-function steering wheel, and the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the carry-over 7.0-inch MyLink touchscreen, which is again home to a standard rear-view camera. With satellite navigation duties now performed via connected mobile devices.
Topping off the LTZ is an eight-speaker stereo with Bluetooth audio streaming, heated leather-appointed front seats with eight-way electric adjustment for the driver, an electronic handbrake, hill-start assist and hill-descent control, a sunroof, side steps, front and rear skid plates, and satin silver-finished roof rails.
On the safety front, new blind-spot assist and rear cross-traffic alert technology joins ISOFIX-compatible seating (second row outboard seats), front and rear parking sensors, six airbags and a five-star ANCAP safety rating.
In the third-row, space isn’t shabby, with a six-foot-four adult being able to be accommodated into one of the rear-most seats without drama. Sure, a full-size adult wouldn’t want to spend hours back there – with their knees up a little higher than usual – but the space available is ample for smaller kiddlies.

One of two Outbacks currently on the lot, I don't usually tend to double up on stock like this, but when this opportunity came up the odometer had me lured. I'm sure it will hook you too, not to forget to mention the features a 'Premium' offers in that sub 25k market.
A deep down lover of Subaru (having cut my teeth there) this particular still has its TWO factory Keyless entry fob remotes and is paired with a FULL and almost full (bar one independent) Subaru service book. Talking about the Eye sight tech for a sec, Lane departure and Forward Safety Collision are the leading appointments, but not to forget Adaptive Climate Control. Symmetrical AWD system was world class when introduced for wet, dirt or frosty conditions and if anyone has owned one or known someone to own one they will know that the AWD is one capable little number off road too.
Interior presents fantastic, and as it should for the odometer and the exterior has seen a level of respect too. Not to mention the full set of Bridgestones wrapped around the car. The styling cues of this update are what I consider a good looker and a major upgrade from the first inception 5th generations. Update cladding on the lowers of the door with the signature 'Outback' badge and the slimmed down headlights with drips and drabs of chrome glittered make sense. The diamond cut Alloys set the whole look off, and the bulky, multi use Roof racks add some aesthetics, while providing usability.
Those who know Subaru, know Subaru, those who don't let me introduce you, there are two to choose from.
